We have discussed this subject before. Trump was bombastic and showed none of the ability to handle this situation calmly and with dignity. The journalist was doing what a journalist should do...asking awkward questions, at a press conference.

On a thread about journalism, on a forum notionally attached to a major national newspaper and frequented by more than a few whose job description appears to be to incessantly post links to the aforementioned august journal:

thank you for being the only ABer with the decency to post a reply.

"We've had this thread before" never seems to hold back certain other contributors, so I was hoping for more participation with this one.

The interest isn't so much about Trump, either. It's about how the rest of the press pack (the obsequious set, if you will) turned against the outspoken one.

Hacks are, to greater or lesser degrees, assimilated into the establishment. They know which side of their bread is buttered.
