He certainly seems to have capitulated very quickly

http://news.sky.com/story/1546454/britain-may-accept-thousands-more-refugees

I wonder if he has read the population correctly, just because there is a 300,000 petition (out of 60m population) and a media frenzy (because they can flog papers or make a political point) doesn't mean it is what the majority want.

And where will it stop?

Will the Hungarian president be proved correct when he says Europeans will become a minority in their own continent?

You're exaggerating, Retrocop. The first item made clear that only "Far-right protesters have demonstrated against asylum seekers in the area." and that "Correspondents say most Germans have been welcoming to asylum seekers, but a small minority has been vocal in its opposition.".
This comes from the BBC whose impartial journalism I admire. Odd, though, that ALL the demonstrators were "far-right". You might have thought that there could be just a few people who weren't Nazis who disagree with Merkel's immigration policies.
Svejk
Talking of which....... Must be busy making up the spare put-u-up. :-)
Don't see any neo nasties here either. Despite what snorkel says it would seem that the ordinary herrenvolk do not approve of the immigration policy.
I believe Khandro lives in Germany and he said earlier he has not met one German who wants mass immigration!

He must be a Nazi, too, retro. ;o)
Clever disguise, Retrocop. particularly the lady in the mobility scooter.
Blimey
If those are right wingers I have attended more rumbustious protests by the W.I. who were banned from selling their home made tea cakes at the local craft fare.:-)
Captain Euro says they're all Nazis and Losers, Lol.

I link I was asking svejk for was the one where Chancellor Merkel is telling Hungary not to send any immigrants through.
Still waiting :-)
I'll say this for you Lefties, you're consistent, consistently tiresome. What difference would a link make? I put up UKgov PDF files to back up my Romanian immigrant numbers. 'No, the Daily Mirror has a different number(they plucked from the air)' Here goes, anyway;

///Ms. Merkel insisted Hungary should register migrants who arrive there and review their asylum applications.

Germany said last week that it would allow Syrian refugees to stay in the country regardless of where they first entered the EU. The decision to skip the triage of Syrian migrants reaching Germany was made both for humanitarian reasons and in an attempt to speed up the review of asylum claims filed by Syrians, the government said.

Ms. Merkel said the German government had been in touch with the Hungarian side over what she called a “misunderstanding” that all Syrians can travel to Germany without having to register in Hungary. ///
