Hmm... 51-49 is basically a dead heat when it comes to most polls, so one ought to be careful to read too much into it. But I wouldn't be too surprised if now, of all times, after several months of the Greek bailout crisis, and now the large numbers of migrants/ refugees coming into Europe, that some people might be pushed towards leaving the EU. Even if you have sympathy for the migrants, the way the crisis is being handled is far from brilliant.
The only poll that counts is two years away, though. But this poll -- and even the one in July that gave it to the "in" camp 54-46 -- suggests that it is going to be a very close result. The debate before then is going to be very important.

It certainly came as no shock to me. NJ and I have both mentioned the folly of remaining in the EU this week.
We have the UK P.M. going ,cap in hand, to try to negotiate terms for the UK to remain in Europe.Grovelling to the self appointed Fuhrer Smirkel and her Reichs marshall Hollande who believe they can bully the rest of the so called partners in Europe.
Without consultation Smirkel arbitarily tears up the Dublin Convention overnight .She has certainly learnt some French lessons there when it comes to picking and choosing what laws,conventions, treaties, agreements they pick and choose to suit themselves.
They gang up on the UK for failing to do our bit but do not acknowledge we have taken more immigrants than Germany since 2000 and have paid,second to USA, the most towards Syrian Relief Aid than the rest of Europe.
We chose not to be signatories to Schwengen and when their failure to do so bites them on the butt they suddenly threaten to tear it up.
They jump into the Euro and when that becomes decidely wobbly they call on us to bail them out.
The UK is merely a convenient prop and whipping boy to Europe. With friends like that who needs enemies. My cross will firmly go for getting out of a complete corrupt shambles.
