Shouldn't that be chav and chavette?

Just sayin'
Ridiculous.
An outrage against hair possibly - I wouldn't want to meet either of them in a dark alley!
One of these days, perhaps sooner rather than later, I'm going to read a story like this and say to myself, "that's it -- I'm bored of all this left-wing crap now."

Not yet, but I fear the day is getting close!

bored with, James .... bored with
I love parents who moan like this... they chose a school because it has a good reputation. Part of the reason for that good reputation and good exam results is that it has strict rules and those rules are enforced. Expectation of standards of appearance (among other things) are communicated to all those involved with the school. This child has had 6 weeks in order to experiment with her clothes and hair but chooses, with the aid of her mother, to contravene those strict rules the parent has already agreed to ensure her child adheres to ....... and is upset because she is told to sort her hair out before attending ... good grief where do they find these parents...

Well she certainly takes after her Mum, and I think the spots in her hair go well with her acne!
Its amazing, that the Mother managed to find a bloke willing to go 50/50 on six kids with her!
This girl has clearly contravened the school rules, as well as making a daft spectacle of herself.

So, no outrage just a daft girl, and an even dafter mother.

My human rights have been abused by showing a picture of a daft woman and her offspring

Tut Tut db - you'll be muttering "double bagger" next ...

No....wrong.....I have my awkward moments and will happily break some rules.....but school?
No....it's where children should learn about boundaries, respect and behaviour.

If mum thinks that rule is wrong she should set about getting it changed rather than challenging it in a way that's not good for her daughter's future or character....x

SD, Justifiably so imo!
I thought that was her dad with her on the picture.
In cases like this I think the best thing to do is to try to find a new school which will accept her hair like that.
Borstal ?
