I'm with VHG. Appallingly, I feel that eventually war is inevitable and we are digging ourselves into a very weak defensible position. Does no-one in power ever read or believe History! (Or, in this case, religion.)

I really, really hope I'm wrong - but I've always been right so far. As ladybirder says, why are we assuming that this mess is ours to sort out in the first place? It has its roots in the divergence in Islam.
