I wonder how many of these people will feel the same in 12 Months time, when in the towns they live in, will have problems getting a doctors appointment, getting there children into their local schools, less jobs available, and no room at hospitals?

///With Sandy and Sqad, currently in Germany, everyone seems to be coping///

Think you'll find, mosaic, Sandy's in Ireland and Sqad's in Portugal. Which probably explains why they're happy to flood the country with an alien culture. What's your excuse.
Some are highly educated and financially secure. They just dont want to be killed by barrel bombs or mustard gassed that they cannot avoid as their homes are shot to dust.

Since when has Menorca been in ruddy Portugal !
Svejk, I apologised for my syntactical error. No need to be snappy. The region of Germany I'm in is poised to receive the largest number of the incomers, allocated by their government. No outpourings of hate apparent here.
I want to know why it is not to the rich middle eastern and also muslim countries they .have not gone to.
I think they may be attracted to our liberal, Christian, values.
Agree with trt
I wasn't being snappy, mosaic. ;o) I was trying to make a point with a touch of 'humour'. Nice to see mikey talking to me again. Well, at/about me. It's a start.
I wonder how many of those on their rally will be taking anyone in?
How many refugees would be desperate enough to take them up on the offer?
tamborine

/// Some are highly educated and financially secure. ///

Know that for absolute certain do you?

Anyone highly educated would not choose to get in a none seaworthy vessel, risking their own life and that of their family (providing they are the few who choose to take their family).

Financially secure???????????

Haven't seen any carrying huge sacks of money, but if they are that rich, why didn't they just buy an airline ticket and fly to distant lands?
Is it the case then that each time a member has pled the case for this country to look after its own folk first they have also contributed an appropriate sum to charity in order to relieve the suffering?
No Corby, but I've paid taxes. That's how the system is supposed to work.
Taxes also contribute to overseas aid.
Exactly 'overseas' not domestic. Sheesh.
If you believe the government is not spending enough on its own folk why are you not contributing more to charities that do?
Firstly we cannot deny some are risking their lives to get out of wherever they come from so we cannot help but feel sorry for them
But 73% are males so who are protecting their families
