Hi I am putting together a survival kit and wanted to buy something I can carry through europe. Do I need a license for this https://www.justbbguns.co.uk/product/566/CROSSBOWS/555/Crossbows/3482/CYCLONE-CROSSBOW
Also is there any problems bringing it into / out of the country by car?

I believe so, I think they class it as a firearm but not too sure so someone with more knowledge may assist you.

I'm pretty sure you don't need a licence or the ad would have mentioned it alongside the info it did include about age over 18.
I can't see any need for carrying such an item but I suppose that's not a Law issue. If you were ever found with it I'm sure the police would question you in some detail about it

In light of the damage they can do I feel a licence is the least that should be required.

If you read the Wikipedia page that Mamalynne posted, you'll see that crossbows are not welcome in many countries in Europe. You'd need to be very careful abroad.
