Thank goodness David Cameron is talking sense when it comes to another referendum on independence. I cant get over the arrogance of Nicola Sturgeon her and Alex Salmond have divided this country and I am ashamed to be Scottish she is an arrogant proud conceited woman who is not representing the interests of Scotland.

The Scottish voted her in and she was pretty clear on her agenda.

You've made your left wing bed,now lie in it.
Steg I AM Scottish , and believe me everyone I know is sick and tired of her ranting despite being told we do NOT want separation, that includes folk who HAVE voted SNP
young..separation was NOT part of the SNP manifesto..devolution was and is
What part of No don't the SNP understand? All they focus on is separation and independence, while the country goes to hell in a handcart! I hope they get found out before it's too late! Queenie is already talking of moving south when she wants to start a family because of this "named person" legislation, they have brought in it's ridiculous and interfering in families lives! Grrrrr!
So you insult her instead? Ok
If every one was sick and tired of her then no one would vote for her.... But they do ....and in huge numbers
Murray, it was pretty clear to me, as an Englishman, what the aims of the SNP were.

How come you all missed it?

Or was it the rush to leap into a left wing bed?
wScotland is not voting for HER..they are voting for the party which she is supposed to represent..her own personal agenda is what most of us do not like..aand I reitereate ..a vote for SNP is NOT a vote for separation..
with respect, as an Englishman you have absolutely no idea what public opinion is up here, other than what you are being fed by the media...
So the ballot box provides no clue then?

Unless it delivers what YOU want perhaps ?
I repeat ..the ballot box clearly said NO to separation but YES to anSNP with devolved powers...what part of that do you as anEnglish person fail to grasp ?
The SNP ulitmate aim, is and always will be, separation.

It does not have to be in a manifesto, its seen by it's actions.

The sooner Scotland is separated out the better, it is dragging the whole UK down.

We should split and get on, carrying on like this will discourage investment.
Ok , they voted for the party that she is the leader of lol
The Scottish elections are coming up next..my advice to you and all your friends would be: if you don't like the SNP mandate don't vote for them
What I am seeing is that you clearly think the English know nothing about Scotland.

This is a typical arrogant Scottish attitude.

I repeat, we have nothing in common(as you point out too), best to split and get on with our own ways.
Nicola Sturgeon is making the case for Independence a political one, when it should not be. Unfortunately, a fair few people seem to have fallen for that argument. Hopefully the majority will remain in the "no" camp come what may -- and hopefully there will not be a second referendum for a while either.

And if there is, and it ends up being "no", too, that had better be the end of it for a Century.
a manifesto is what is voted for not the personalities..separation was NOT part of it at the time of the election..greater powers of devolution was...THAT is what the people voted for...
The vote/question was "do you believe Scotland should be an independent country" nothing more nothing less
I wholeheartedly agree with murraymints. The majority of the Scottish population voted No, in the referendum. End of story.
and indeed as one who does not live in Scotland your arrogance in seemingly knowing how WE think is overwhelming
Nicola Sturgeon stated in 2015 that: “Something material would have to change in terms of the circumstances or public opinion before I think it would be appropriate to have a proposal for a referendum.”

If Dave refuses to only leave the EU if all the constituent parts of the UK agree then Sturgeon (oh...erm...sorry....) The SNP will use this to make a case for a further referendum probably claiming that if f the UK prepares to leave the EU, despite a majority of voters in Scotland voting to remain, it will cause a constitutional crisis.

chrissa1

But it's not end of story tho is it?
