Fancy picking a vegan to be the Shadow Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs?

She says meat eaters should be 'TREATED LIKE SMOKERS'?

Where will it end if they ever get in power, no munching on sausage rolls outside Greggs, or eating a tasty steak in pubs?

Good for her !
Labour is certainly providing much amusement of late. :o)
A bit like Cameron with his pig's head!
Not quite. These people are hoping for victory at the next election. :o)
Well there's no suggestion Cameron ate the pigs head and I cant see this woman objecting to anything other than eating them.

She is clearly a nutcase bent on keeping labour out of power. She has clearly not been round to a working class families house.

One argument is often put forward that land can produce more protein if arable. What they always seem to forget is that much land is not arable; fancy growing wheat on a Welsh mountain?

Very much doubt it YMF, they would most likely not be allowed to cook it in the first place, due to the fumes affecting the kitchen staff.
So one could eat it raw?

Steak tartare, then ... Yummers!

joggerjayne + veggie

Oops hit submit accidently will try again!
Steak ta ta more like. And goodbye lamb chops.
All that methane to stink out Parliament :(
We usually have a couple of meat-free meals a week, but it's our choice. Veggies are generally such 'holier-than-thou' crusading types (note, I said 'generally', not all - I have a veggie step-daughter who is not like that) that I end up ordering a meat dish just to watch them squirm with the effort of not lecturing me - I like my steak rare, by the way.
// vegetarians can be such fascists though. //

That's very true. Adolf Hitler was vegetarian.

.....so that it could be set back on its hooves by any self-respecting vet, eh?
Plenty of food to go round if folk would lay off the Harry Wragging.

No, mushroom, that's 'bleu' or 'tartare'! Any vet who masters a rare steak will have the world beating a path to his/her door!. :o)
If the Trouser Press bans Greggs from selling their *** pasties called 'Cornish pasties,' then he gets my vote.......unlikely though.
bastardish.....try that
