The throwing of eggs at politicians (of all colours) is a bit of a British tradition going back centuries. It is hardly exclusive to the hard left.

Muslims are not offended by pigs, they are offended by eating pigs. As none of these protestors were actual pigs, and were not about to be eaten, then no offence will be caused.
