Tax Rebate
8 Answers
My son had been on Jobseekers for 3 years then last year he was put on disability benefit. He told us that he's had a tax rebate but we're not sure he's not taken out a loan. My question is - would someone who hasn't been in employment for almost 5 years get a large tax rebate.

Anyway back to the Tax rebate: If you leave work and claim job seekers you can't claim a tax rebate until you either get another job or at the end of the current tax year. You do not get a tax rebate unless you claim for it and I do know someone who was due a tax rebate and actually got the money in the same time frame as your son.
