The Carnival Bands will take to the roads from around 9am on Sunday 30th August 2015 and the same time on Monday 31st of August. 2015.

Thank goodness for the replies saying that this is exaggerated. I trust that they are true. I'm in the middle of cutting out the centr of paper plates so that the village children can decorate them and add a name of their choice from the War Memorial for Remembrance Sunday. I've also bought red, white and blue ribbon to add to the 'medals' so the children can hold them up at the Remembrance Service.

OK, some of you will hoot with laughter and denigrate this post- but I think that is important that the huge sacrifice and effort of a past generation is remembered by their beneficiaries.

Policing priorities are having to change but I think the Express article is rather misleading and I am sure forces up and down the country will do their best.
