/// One of the issues she spoke most passionately about was the problem of sexual aggression against women. Indeed, she had unflinchingly asserted the wildly controversial (and utterly unproven) statistic that ‘one woman in four’ at Oxford can expect to be raped. ///
And not just by men it would seem.

I'm asking you what you want to discuss, as it was you who raised this thread.
Is it sex crime, hypocrisy, gay rights or the idea of women raping other women?
At the moment, you've only lead us to a newspaper story, without given any context to the question. You've stated a view...and the only response I can think of is yes...it seems that this young lady indeed did not practice what she preached.
Sorry I can't add anything further at the moment, because I agree with you.

Agreed...still wondering what it is you want to discuss though.
Perhaps you just wanted to make a point?
Alert us to the story?
And get a discussion going?
It's just difficult to discuss because as the facts laid out by the story are pretty much indisputable. She indeed did not practice what she preached.
It kind of tails off there, doesn't it?

Sure...I think you want to make a point, rather than open a discussion.
I think I know what the driver behind this is, but would rather not say - seeing as I might be wrong.
Perhaps you could confirm what it is you want to discuss, and then I, and any others looking at this thread will be able to comment.
