State Control is supposedly anathema to the Tories - except when it suits them of course.

Another step towards the Police State the Tories would really like.

how little you understand us canary, I would be against this 100%, as I am with all sorts of things that your anti British friends love. This sort of civil liberties issue tends to transcend the one dimensional dichotomy.
Have you had treatment for your paranoia Canary?
Hardly paranoia given the news report.

There is a gradual yet unremitting push towards control of the citizen and giving them no privacy under the guise of catching the bad guys. It is of little consequence that any particular individual is not at high risk of being checked; it is the fact that the State demands this sort of thing and can't or won't see anything wrong in it. And so many actually back it ! Beggars belief.
