What Should Happen To Margaret Thatcher's Old Clothes?

The V&A were right in my opinion in rejecting her clothes. After seeing their Alexander McQueen, Bowie and Westwood shows, a Thatcher show would seem by limited (very few 'iconic' items).

So where should these items go on display?

By the way - no one is allowed to make any allusions to using them this Thursday.

Charity auction?
A charity shop in Knightsbridge. :-)
They should be burned and the ashes mixed with salt, then be dumped at the nearest council tip.

Genuinely interested or are you trying to attract a certain disrespectful response?

Perhaps this is a good give away:

I think they should have displayed some of them.
The amount of money spent on these clothes could have fed a family for a month, burn them.
Send them to a charity shop. How are her suits and blouses worthy of any kind of exhibition? Who would go to look at them? I can't imagine even die-hard Tories would schlep up to London to look at her clothes.
Perhaps one or two that she wore on the more momentous events of her Premiership could have been shown.

Whatever she chose to spend on her own clothes is surely nobodies business?
Some of the iconic outfits should have gone on display - the one where she became prime minister, the one she wore when she stepped down etc.

I don't recall seeing the sartorial examples of elegance, the donkey jacket and Gannex Mac displayed anywhere so why bother about Mrs Thatchers clothes. Now Sir Winston Churchill has Chartwell and the War Rooms where we could see his siren suit and bowler. Poor Maggie was left with a house in Belgravia and I don't see that becoming a shrine.
Poor Maggie...oh the irony, retrocop, I didn't know you so witty!

Poor old millionaire who's mantra was 'there is no such thing as society'. Poor old girl eh?
I have never understood those woman who cut up their ex partners clothes

GIVE THEM TO CHARITY

I'm at a loss on this one. I can only think of one iconic outfit, and that's the one she wore when she was first elected PM.

It's not like the Princess Diana auction, where you actually recognised specific outfits from points in her life.

I think maybe a charity auction is the only option.
There are plenty of refugees that will need clothing.
They would only burn them anyway.
Perhaps, although I must admit I can't picture it, the outfit she wore to address the media on the morning after the Brighton bomb might be worthy....in some sort of context.
"...no one is allowed to make any allusions to using them this Thursday..."

Surely last Saturday was more appropriate.

maybe make these and sell them to miners....

you'd need to change the wording slightly...
