I heard this said this afternoon regarding a news story. So what's the story?
Perfect opportunity to call the Scot 'sweaties' or sweeties as my predictive text wants to call them, oh how I laugh when I hear that word!
Must go and do some house work.

Oh! B****** you were rather quick!
Will be more cryptic next time!
Gav, please don't you start calling the Scots that name too - so tedious.

the story broke yesterday. today, the newspapers are full of righteous indignation from letter writers who believe it would be more humane to leave the rough sleepers where they are.

Tedious? I find it rude and rather childish!!

rhyming slang - Sweaty Sock = Jock (derogatory)
It's a shame that R1Geezer is no longer a member of AB.

Going to sit on the naughty step!
It was meant to be a bit of fun but hey ho! Will go to another thread and start attacking other posters as this seems to be the norm.
Question Author
I have been on the naughty step and I have thought about what I did wrong and I am sorry can I return to Answerbank?
Baldric you've got to be a teacher!
I used the word 'tedious' because I am generally polite - it wasn't what I was thinking.
isn't TTT R1 geezer?
I think Baldric used to be in the Tiller Girls Gav - though I could be confusing him with someone else.
Boold - Yes.

Well done mamya, you've sussed it!
;o)
Sounds like an excellent idea, especially if the piper cant play them. Saves on swinging stray cats around.

There are many sweaty harolds around Bournemouth though, so may not deter them !

Aww that's so thoughtful. Bagpipe lullabies for those who have fallen on hard times. So sweet.
Question Author
Just when they think it can't get any worse along comes the bagpipes!
Most of the Harolds in Bournemouth, especially round the Lansdowne area, are so out of it on Meths and paint stripper they wouldn't notice I suspect.
