One of the many reasons to stop calling it ISIS is that Isis is a girl's name, there is an Isis river in the UK, and there is a charity called Isis. It's not very fair on any of these that they should become confused with an international terrorist organisation. Facebook mistakenly took down the account of a girl named Isis.

Well, the US have supposedly been against them for the last 4 years, in which time they have grown hugely. Bombing them from planes is not really effective, and France, and the UK and £millions for little result. The only people fighting ISIS in real hand to hand combat is Iran and Hezbollah. In the past fortnight ISIS have made their presence known in Egypt and Lebanon so their arch is expanding rather than being beaten.
Your assessment of them going out with a bang is very wide of the mark. And even if that were to happen, the only winners would be Iran - I doubt you (and Obsma, Cameron, Hollande) would be any the happier when (or if) that were to happen.

Daesh Is the Arabic equivalent of our acronym for ISIL. Unless you are an Arabic speaker, their is little point in using it.
