Marshwarble. I don't think this is really to do with politics. Kraft made a promise before the merger went ahead and they broke it immediately after. The promise couldn't have been clearer and Keynsham deserved better than what they got. Like the Commons Select Committee, I draw the conclusion that Kraft were being less than honest when it came to their...

Lets hope that the new owners don't behave like Kraft did, after the disgraceful way that it closed the Cadburys Keynsham factory a few years ago.
Dont hold your breath Mickey
Soon there will be nothing left in these islands, that can be truly called British.
It`s not made in the UK and anyway, there are a whole lot of artisan chocolate companies that have sprung up iin this country in recent years (Hotel Chocolate, Montezumas, Artisan du Chocolat) and many small producers that you see at food shows. I`m not sure it`s much of a loss
And if the EU and right-on crowd get their way that will include the population AOG.
aint that the truth...all part of their "Grand Plan"...
To bring the immigration issue into a discussion about chocolate is breathtaking in its inanity. But hardly unexpected !

This isn't a discussion about chocolate, it is about your usual anti-USA xenophobia.

Well they have already just about removed the country of England from the European map.

Companies aren't social services. They are in business to make money.
That's Capitalism for you. Chocolate merely following the route already taken by many of our Public Services since the Tories sold then off.
Rubbish AOG !

This is what happened in Keynsham when Kraft took over Cadburys, and it was disgraceful. The fact that Kraft was an American company is entirely coincidental. They lied, and was called to appear before a Parliamentary select committee to explain why. :::::

Naomi...see my link above....Kraft lied.
//That's Capitalism for you.//

It is indeed Canary. The system that creates wealth rather than poverty.
What wealth did Kraft create in Keynsham Naomi ?
Mikey, They are not obliged to create or maintain jobs for people. I repeat, they are not social services.
But what "wealth" did Kraft create in Keynsham Naomi ?

Kraft were asset-strippers, not chocolate makers.

At least unlike Labour, they didn't sell off "the family silver".
Mikey, Kraft is a global company. The world is bigger than Keynsham.
So you support asset-stripping companies like Kraft, that lied to the Keynsham workers then Naomi ?
