I have recently passed on my father's RAF, WWII, medals to my grandson, I wonder what would have happened if his generation hadn't fought and simply done nothing. Chamberlain's negotiation didn't work then, and it won't work with ISIS now.

Strange that these former sevicemen swore an oath to serve Queen and Country yet they throw the medals that the Queen had awarded them back in her face. She had no say with regards to the bombing of Syria so I feel it is rather a rude and empty gesture to our Monarchy. Their medal. Their choice. :-(
