It was a free vote why do the reds find it so disturbing that others in their party don't hold their view?

Well we witness here almost everday a Labourite opinion that is unshakeable and must not be challenged with those who wish to differ. Why,they might even be told they are talking drivel. !!! I think that is very rude. It is a indoctrinated loser's mindset I feel.

Isn't that known as" towing the party line " or else??. Similar to "Right or wrong. My Socialist Party"

yes but it was a free vote, I can understand some sniping if it was whipped.

nope the first person todo this was Mr Blair
before that they were as mad a box of frogs

Mr Wilson 1964-66 had a majority of two and the two trouble makers were Desmond Donelly and woodrow wyatt who laster became er the voice of reason in the now defunct NoW
and there were two years of three line whips ....

before THAT you have to go to Mr Atlees govt and that is a bit before my time
It is very bad.
I am currently in despair of Labour. It will take a long time to wrest the party back from what i would call the "three pound a pop" activists who seem oblivious to the fact that they are taking Labour to poll humiliation in 2020

Perhaps the ones being bullied by the Corbynites should be shouting louder about the bully tactics being used. Make it an issue that turns the tables on the bullies.

Well I would anyway.

Reminiscent of Commies (and other extremists) around the world.

There is no such think as debate, it is do as I say (and not usually as I do by the leaders).

Although not a labour voter I find it sad that this is happening. A strong Government is often made by a strong opposition; that keeps it in check.

A one party state is no good for anyone and since the liberals are pretty much defunct and the SNP only wants independence and doesn't give two hoots about the UKthat is what we have.
I agree - a one party state isn't desirable.

Surely Corbyn can't last long, and he'll be replaced by a sounder politician.

At that point, the Labour party will have seen how close it came to total destruction, and will be united?
The mob does not rule! These people should read the great speech given by Edmund Burke to the electors of Bristol (fat chance!) in which he made the clear distinction between representation and delegation. The MP represents the interests of his constituents, not their opinions.
Khandro, but surely that was just his opinion?

youngm; I see from that comment you believe every opinion is of equal merit?
