retrocop..I joined this site because I thought it would be fun/challenging/ initially I was given brilliant advice re Pensions I certainly did NOT join to be challenged on my gender ? Are you for real? I have no other words for this person
Are people genuinely welcome here? When you were new did you feel welcome?
I don't like a lot of what I read , some of it is quite disturbing and odd, but I persevere.
My advice is don't be drawn and move on to the next topic the next day.
Having said that I am a glutton for punishment.
Going back to NJ for a moment, I like the advice he gives mostly, though oft a little wordy (which is likely par for the course) - do I know his credentials ? No, we don't really know anyone's do we?
There are some who have been on this site a short while and feel they can infer a person may be a charlatan because he/she is reluctant to disclose their qualifications. NJ has never ,as far as I am aware, put a foot wrong so why, as a newcomer be rude to him by saying his opinions are now diluted?
Mamyalynne
I have no time for the catholic church and I will use lower case p for it's leader. I have no respect for him.
I have to say that the insults were scathing...well as scathing as someone with such little wit can manage. What a strange man retrocop is. I'll watch out for him, I thought it was such a balanced site as well. There's always one who get's off on being a keyboard warrior. There's just no need for personal attacks, disagree,...absolutely, but personal attacks, that's a no-no.Huge no-no !!!
douglas = I appreciate that = it was just how you described your impression of NJ, so all I was saying is that it doesn't matter who or what he or she is.
retrocop...I seriously don't know you, i've ignored you in the main as I absolutely got you from almost the word go on here.
Now you're checking how long i've been here and my credentials for commenting basically.
You need to get a grip, take a long look at yourself ! I may be new on here but i'm not wet behind the ears.
If someone posts something on here they're leaving themselves open to be challenged by anyone ( that means ANY ONE) .Your pal NJ doesn't need you to back him...an ex cop? Please ...anyone BUT an ex cop ;)
Oh right...it's take a pop at the person who doesn't have the wealth of knowledge that 'everyone' else gleefully has is it?
Well if someone calls themself New Judge , I would expect them to be on the cusp of being a 'Judge' at the very least so with that comes a certain standard of knowledge...so what did I say wrong? Really?
He /She is doing a job...he/she freely gives out advice but cant answer how long they have been a Judge? Why call yourself a Judge , he could have called him/herself Dandelion... //
That rudeness posted by you triggered a reaction. Your hissy remarks led to the point we are now at.
Before you climbed out your pram the OP was ticking along nicely. It was just those who are more acquainted with NJ telling/advising you that he is of valuable service and his advice should not be considered diluted because he wishes to deny you an answer you want. That is his prerogative. You have your opinion but don't get a strop because some of us defend another poster.
After all there are enough women on this site who offer a certain person their petticoats to hide under.
Right...you clearly have no sense of humour retrocop....NJ will laugh , he knows here was no malice. Thats the difference between people who enjoy subtle wit and 'them that don't'.
Please excuse me for my ignorance but I scrolled through the rest of your lengthy story..i'm tired and i just know I would have fallen asleep half way through x
I caught your last sentence ...
'After all there are enough women on this site who offer a certain person their petticoats to hide under.' I wish I hadn't as it makes no sense...I really hate anything which makes no sense especially from someone who doesn't make any sense...it perturbs me. Good night...I hope I can sleep....i'm feeling disturbed....they walk amongst us...
