Nice to see this illegal migrant helping out with our already vast overseas aid, by sending much of his benefit money back to his brother in South Sudan.
/// Mr Said, who has been granted refugee status, said: ‘I’m very happy here. My wife wants to come. I told her I’m liking England and I told her it is safe. I told her you will find safety here in England, assistance and treatment, education and all human rights and all those around you will love you.’ ///
I wouldn't be too sure of that Mr Said.

This is not the first time I have been at the end of your insults and it does your so called news commentaries no favours.
Changing horses midstream to catch people out is a low trick.
Maybe just another days fishing for you though.

I don't know why you bother AOG. Your antagonists are as usual, so desperate to demonstrate their Liberal credentials, (which cost them nothing). This guy is an economic migrant and is in the UK illegally, so he should not even be in the country, let alone being provided with taxpayer's money and housing.
End of!

/// Let me get this straight a minute - you ask about this immigrant and you want answers that include other groups and don't refer to him in particular. ///
I do not particularly want answers that include other groups.
'Other groups' as you wish to call your fellow country men & women, are brought into such threads such as this because such issues effect 'other groups'.
Especially when such as you come out with your hand wringing comments such as "I hope he gets a job".
/// Never, I repeat never refer to me in that way
again. ///
There I have said it again, simply because I do not like being ordered to do things, in the manner that you have ordered me.

I agree entirely. No one wan'ts to see anyone drown in the Med. It,is however, still the policy of rescue ships (HMS Bulwark) to offload the rescued in the country from whose territorial waters they are rescued.HMS Bulwark,as far as I am aware, does not provide a direct ferry service to the UK.
It warms my cockles to hear that this economic immigrant finds the UK safe and writes to tell his wife he abandoned where, presumably, she is unsafe????? that it is safe here.
He is happy with the education, assistance and treatment and human rights etc. All of which would of been afforded to him in the other European countries he illegally crossed to get here.
The Asylum assessors in the UK live up to their name.

this is hilarious -If I had told someone to 'zip it', accused their opinions of just being a 'wind up' I'd have been zapped by now.
When people legitimately want to emigrate to the Uk from non Euro countries they have to have a job and be able to prove they can finance themselves. Illegals come over and get all the benefits of those who have had to go through the legitimate route. I hope he doesn't get a job. I hope he's sent back to protect his wife who is obviously in great danger. And I hope his money transfer of UK taxpayers money to his family back in Syria gets stopped at border control.

Called away from screen , sorry - Immigration does need addressing yes.
My responses from the start were in reference to Hamad Said as your OP was about him.
If those we have already unemployed before the latest influx of immigrants have no jobs in their area and are unable to travel as often these young men are then I feel for them.
My Son in Law has had to travel abroad for the last ten years to get the work he is qualified to do, entailing living in three different countries over that time.
Times are difficult in the employment market whatever your qualifications or lack of them.
