Has the US already started to implement Donald Trump's suggestions or is there more to this than Mohammad Tariq Mahmood is telling us?

Er…not quite. Neither of the two mothers of the nine children travelled. They had booked to go, but had to withdraw at very short notice. (This is not made up by anyone, this was related by one of the two women on the Nick Ferrari show this morning). It could be this that aroused the suspicions of US immigration. She also said that the party had been told that it was the US authorities, not the airline, that denied their passage.
“Adolf Hitler was a professed Christian - would any followers of that faith be happy if his views were put forward as a representation of their own beliefs.”
I may be wrong but I don’t belief Hitler used Christianity as the reason for his wanting to exterminate Jews. Whereas those who commit atrocities in the name of Islam cite their religion and the prophet at justification for their actions.
The difficulty for people living in the UK and the rest of the EU is that they are used to having someone to appeal to whenever any earth shattering decision does not go their way. They have almost endless avenues of litigation to pursue to have their “rights” established. As soon as you step outside the EU all those bets are off. The USA is robust in who it allows to cross its borders (if only the UK were the same). Furthermore they are autonomous in that respect. They answer to nobody when it comes to decisions concerning their security. There is little point in speculating on this. It is most unlikely they will provide an answer of any sort to explain their actions. The Prime Minister has been urged to intervene. He should concentrate his efforts on more pressing matters.
Immigration Minister James Brokenshire adopted a more pragmatic approach. He said that the government would look into the incident but ultimately the decision was up to the US authorities.
"It is for countries to look carefully at this time of heightened security at the steps that they do have in place to assure their homeland security, but obviously we will look into the points that have been flagged and respond accordingly," he said.
Quite so.

While I agree that they can be denied entry, it's the nature of it - especially:
- Turned back at the gate (rather than being denied an ESTA)
- No compensation (despite being allowed an ESTA)
It's not clear whether they had travel insurance but, even if they did, I think there's a good chance that it would not pay out in these circumstances.
Still, it could have been worse. They might have got all the way to California before being denied entry ...

Because they mistakenly think that when they have been "discriminated" against somebody in government will wave a magic wand and make it go away. This is true in Europe (beacuse there is an abundance of fairies with magic wands posing as lawyers) but it ain't no use moaning about the USA to Mr Cameron.

This is a side splitting article from Gavin Yamey being stopped and seartched in 2005
http:// www.ncb i.nlm.n ih.gov/ pmc/art icles/P MC12155 75/
but it has all the hall marks of what happened in the last few days - mistake....
[ Unfortunately for Dr Yamey - pink Anglo that he is - yaam or yom has a meaning in Arabic ( and Hebrew a related language ) and means day - and yarmie means 'daily'. So his name meant something in Arabic unlike for example Smythe or Bollinger and this may have triggered latterly the FBI interest. My how we laughed in 2005 when we read it ]
