On a day when it is announced that a person responsible for only one thing....to get the Tories elected, is honoured, nobody should be in any way surprised that Babs gets a Damehood.

Babs is hardly on the same level as Judy Dench, Maggie Smith, etc, although
she has given great pleasure to many people.
