one paragraph, he tries to squeeze in two separate incidents without saying so, then he's amazed that he's misunderstood? Suppose he'd started that third sentence with "And Germany..."? So much clearer when you give it three seconds' thought before writing.
You only get a 140-character limit on Twitter. I can't see how the tweet from Trump means he thinks Paris is in Germany.

yes and the "reader" could also try "reading" it before wetting pants over a "gaff"! Too eager to take the P*&( methinks.
why? If a politician fails to express himself clearly, it's no good him telling the voters "It's because you're all stupid." He's supposed to make himself understood, not make everything think he's an idiot.

His move.
Anybody with one ounce of sense would see the full stop and think

'he could be talking about seperate events in different countries'
It wouldn't surprise me if he did think Paris was in Germany. However, he'll be able to express himself more clearly soon as Twitter is extending messsage capacity from 140 to 10,000 characters:

"Twitter is extending messsage capacity from 140 to 10,000 characters"

Im led to believe thats for the benefit of Andy Hughes....probably still need more though...
10,000 characters? Oh lord. I don't think I'll bother reading if people go on that long.
I'm no Trump fan, but I thought it was clear he was talking about 2 different things.
He still had 15 characters left, if he wanted to make it clear, why didn't he write: Germany is ALSO a total mess etc.
What he has written is ambiguous.
Twitter does limit its users (I am not one of them) so I think mistakes will happen. On the broad subject of punctuation, I challenge most UK sixth-formers to get through a couple of pages of Dickens without the guidance of someone like me. :) (But it is serious.)
He only had 3 characters left by my reckoning.
He's an idiot, whether he thinks Paris is in Germany or not.

It's a nonsensical tweet that looks like it was done by a someone who was drunk. I've made many similar comments on AB myself, but I'm not trying to become the President of America.
You could be Governor of AB, Ludwig. I'd vote for you.
the problem with hydrogen is that despite it's abundance it is almost always attached to something else, eg Oxygen so hydrogen is worse, electricity wastes 80% of the energy used to produce it. Hydrogen needs electricity to unstick it so basically we now get 4% of the energy we'd get if we used fossil fuels. The only way that is viable is if electricity is made from Fission (hopefully fusion one day)

Seems like you have shot yourself in the foot with the above then! Capital T at beginning, it's should be its (it's being a contraction of it is), oxygen does not require an upper case letter at the start. I'll stop with those!
say that again in 140 characters, Electrochem
