He said he switched on his phone to send a message of arrival and details of hotel on Whatsap which is free and "noticed" a load of messages and missed phone call from us and in-laws so decided to contact us.
He tells me he was unaware of a terrorist attack in the hotel down the road on the day of his arrival but was told by Thomas Cook Rep it was "just an armed robbery that went wrong and the local police dealt with it".
Now I am all for not spreading mass panic, alarm and despondency but I abhor the cynical way they allegedly were not advised that an incident did occur in resort and not to leave the complex to go shopping or sightseeing.

holiday. Within 2 days our 10 month god daughter contracted a stomach bug and was given a £100 anti-biotic injection by an Egyptian doctor. The money is nothing but the health and well being of them allis paramount and I won't be forgiving the fact that they still went there. There are many more civilised places to go.
