Someone must know this woman who wears such a distinctive headscarf, let us hope that she is soon caught, charged, convicted and then given a harsh sentence, but don't hold your breath.

//not the action of a sane civilised member of society. //
Now that I can agree on.
Gromit
These are the links to the events I refer. All Muslim v Black verbals and assaults.
As I said before a common occurrence in London where the diversity experiment fails. Are all these people clinically insane or are they ethnic racists?

/// Perhaps he was playing loud (c)rap music on his phone, and the frenzied lunge was entirely justified? ///

It would seem in Gromit's world it is justifiable to carry a knife so as to silent anyone who is playing loud music.

And here was I, lampooned a few months ago for stating that I wouldn't wish anyone living next door to me who played loud music.

Different culture, different society.

Definitely insane, by our standards.
Mr aog
It is hardly civilised either to carry a knife because of a culture.
Most 'nutters' are either unarmed or more a danger to themselves than the rest of society.

We do well to be aware of our own personal safety at all times....

you never heard of the kirpan, retrocop?
..... or a Sgian Dubh (Skean Dhu)?

2016, bullet proof vests and steel helmets, the order of the day then?

Ah, I bet you feel a lot more better for that?

Interesting to note that she received a 21 month jail sentence, whereas there is no mention of what sentences the others received.
AOG,

// Perhaps he was playing loud (c)rap music on his phone, and the frenzied lunge was entirely justified? //

It was not a comment to be taken seriously.
I obviously do not condone violence for anti social behaviour.
There are more, AOG, but I can't be bothered to go through them.

Really ummmm?Surprised you dredged up a 4 year old story then.

Well a skean dhu can fall foul of the law though a blind eye is often turned providing it is worn purely for an event (Highland Games) and does not exceed the 2 1/2 inch blade length permitted for other providing they are not gravity knives or lock knives. Because they are a grey area and it is recommended not to wear them on a daily basis in bars etc they have introduced the Skean Don't which can be a harmless rubber imitation or a handle with a bottle opener attachment instead of a blade.
The kirpan is allowed as a religious adornment and it is advised it also does not exceed 2 1/2" blade length.
Try taking one on Eurotunnel trains and you won't go anywhere if it exceeds the allowed length. Both weapons, long ago were for protection and meant tobe stealthily carried.
I would suggest thay 8" kitchen knives are not religious adornments and are not covered by the HRA to carry for religion or protection.
Svekj...regardless of the date there are more. I don't condone it regardless of who it's aimed at. My daughter was refused into a pub in Oz for being Irish. So discrimination is also white on white, black on black, Muslim on Muslim...etc
ummmm
No wonder I hadn't seen that one. I had hardly been in Answerbank that long and kept mainly to crosswords.
I thought I was watching a drunken Catherine Tate skit.
Clearly drunkeness is no excuse for her behaviour but would contribute to the cause .I wonder if she had been sober would she have behaved differently?
Seemed to keep the Asian gentleman either side of her amused.
It is no secret that racism between black and white has existed for many years but the incidents of Black/Muslim racist attacks are occurring on a regular basis now whereas it wasn't so common years back. I wonder why ?
There's another one where a similar rant is made and she a toddler on her lap...

Maybe black/Muslim attacks are fueled by the exact reason some whites fear Muslims.
