I read a horrific story today around the death of a 13 month girl and subsequent investigation.
These sort of stories sickens me to the bone. I expected it to be discussed or mentioned on here but nothing!
And yet the punch and judy stuff continues.
I am genuinely confused.

Poppi X oop t North - I wondered what the back story was.
The kid was taken to hospital dead
and someone said Poppi has been abused !
and another relation ( Dad ) said no of course I havent !

so what do you do then ?

every time a warring couple chuck insults at each other
do you throw everyone out and cordon off the house ?

take the kids into care and so on

A call has to be made pretty quickly or else the evidence goes up the shoot as happened in this case. I dont know what the answer is

You read it today, I heard it on the news for the first time this evening. Looks like today is when the story went national, so no surprise it hasn't been mentioned before.
And yes, an absolutely sickening end to such a short life.
Let's hope justice prevails.

Balders did you ask questions like 'erm where is the enemy' when you were in uniform or were you able to find out where they were ?

anyway the ref is above

the action cannot be criminal ( no criminal action )
and cannot be about Poppi's welfare and care (she's dead )
but is a civil court and and is about taking the other kidz into care

so the judge made the finding on the balance of probabilities
which I feel sure the father is protesting about
( because well youknow he has been labelled a child molester and hasnt even been convicted )
