hahahahahaha

They like to force it on to the general public, or at least ignore the public when they raise issue.

Looks like it has backfired. Also proof of Sharia Law in the UK - On a Government building !!!

No problem. They can buy their sleeping juice before a sitting around the corner in the "Red Lion". Problem is they will have to dig deeper into their pockets and pay the full price the public pay. No subsidised drink on the tax payer there. Oh and the Red Lion won't stay open legally all night for late sittings across the road. :-(

i'm sure that their locally changed circumstance would provide for them to apply for a variation to their opening hours. and i'm equally sure that the local magistrates won't oppose it.
great so you can stone and flog in there too then! HTF can any building be under anything but British law.
It's a piece of rabble-rousing news....

It would be exactly the same if the building had been given over to the Salvation Army, or any other organisation which eschews to consumption of alcohol.
*the consumption...
The Salvation Army, as far as I know, do not operate under Sharia Law.
The reasons why are in the article in the OP's link.
/// It would be exactly the same if the building had been given over to the Salvation Army, ///

Didn't realise that the Salvation Army operated under Sharia law.
Missing the point.....much?
The only part of Sharia Law being observed is the non-prescence of alcohol.....and it is NOT solely Muslims who forbid people from drinking alcohol on premises they own.

But it's useful for the DM to chuck words like 'Sharia Law' about...
Got in before me MOTLEY.
Good grief, they can't have a tipple - they'll survive, it's not the end of the world.
jackthehat

/// The only part of Sharia Law being observed is the non-prescence of alcohol.... ///

And how could you possibly know that?
The main reason appears to be the fact that the building is under Sharia Law so they will not be able to continue their subsidised drinking habits if they move there.
Because you can bet your bottom-dollar that the Daily Mail would have given over oodles of space to telling its readers, if it had been the case.
Keep telling yourself that, JtH.
Let's turn the question round then , apart from no bar what other misfortunes might befall these MPs during their stay at this site ??
Well.....several MPs will be in danger of being stoned to death as adulterers so I suppose not being able to have a cheeky snifter will be the least of their worries, I imagine.
Well spotted, hadn't thought of that.
jack: they only stone women for adultery in the R0_P, even if they have been raped.
Adulterous men are stoned, too....less frequently but they are.

So it's an equal-opportunity dilemma for the MPs.
