So the French seem to think the agreement at Calais will stand after a Brexit and why shouldn't it as it is not an EU agreement?

Cameron seems to be adopting the same scare campaign he adopted to scare the Scottish into staying, but will he get away with it this time?

There is of course more at stake for him this time - his nice cushy number with his big snout in the trough next to the Kinnocks.

Cameron's scaremongering is doing him no favours. This latest has really backfired.

To be fair to Dave, Le frogs will change their minds when it suits them but it does give embarrassment for now. There is and element if truth in the original assertion though and some official was on the box last night saying there would be no camp but the asylum swarm would be dispersed among the populace, far worse! In reality, at some point we'd need to develop a system to send them back to France PDQ.
Cameron has seriously put his foot in it.

The facts are there to be seen - the border arrangement is not made through the EU, and will not be affected by Britain staying or leaving.

It is scaremongering, it is the tactics of a politician on the run, and if people were in doubt about voting, the are probably not in doubt now.
Well, what do you expect of the righties ?
I enjoyed this morning's Daily Mail headline:

"Cameron the scaremonger" - imitation is a form of flattery, is it not ...
The scare tactic worked in Scotland.
And always keep ahold of nurse
For fear of finding something worse.
There is an assumption that Britain leaving the EU would not have any affect on other bilateral arrangements, That is a very dangerous assumption.
The French plainly would like the migrants at Calais to skedaddle across the channel, but at the moment they can't pack them off UK-wards.
Who is to say what their attitude was if the UK was no longer in the EU.
There is a widespread, mainstream view in France that the problem is at least as much Britain's because, as it is not in the Schengen zone, the migrants are stuck. This is not, in my view, a very logical way of looking at it, but it is what they think. If Britain were still not in the Schengen, and not even an EU partner, then it's not hard to see attitudes hardening.
Having said all that, I hope we'll see some more positive pro-EU messages from the Prime Minister soon. There is something unwholesome about this migrant-mania. The man who nearly split up the UK may soon find himself in charge of the one-party Tory state of England ....
At the end of the day if we are in charge of our country and its borders these people can claim what they like from wherever in the world they like, doesnt mean we have to let them in or grant them anything...get the message to these chancers "dont think about going to the uk, you wont get in"

Military at all ports and points of entry and any caught, shipped straight back to where they last had feet on land...

This claiming asylum joke is being abused by hundreds of thousands if not millions...the vast majority are nothing but chancers and weve been letting them get away with it for decades now and letting them fiddle their way in here..

The French could end the bi lateral agreement even when in the EU, in fact they are more likely to if we are one big country since no doubt our EU masters would insist we did and Dave would bend over and take it.
I am waiting with trepidation for Dave to be moved from number10 to The Tower for high treason against the UK public. I believe the majority of Brits would like our sovereignty back & I fear that Dave is doing his best to drag the carpet from under our feet.
Was going to say, 'How did he think this would fool anyone'?
Seems like it has though.

None so blind as those that wont see.

OG, Cameron is not a 'righty' he is a pinko lefty liberal just like that other slippery toad Bliar.
Cameron a Liberal? Ha ha ha ha my sides are splitting I'm laughing so hard, or whatever it is baz would say at this point...

If anyone should have been in the tower it should have been Heath. The EEC Act was passed by just 8 votes after he had threatened that if defeated he would call a general election. As Labour was leading in the polls at the time Tory marginal MPs were understandably nervous.

Well he is not a true Tory is he?

His actions are almost identical to His Tonyness.
you got it...well done !

Except Jack that at that point in time it was still basically a trade treaty and as such a million miles from where we are now; virtual German citizens.

Although I must admit I would not have voted for it. My father did and my mother held him to account until his dying day.
I guess Cameron isn't a "true" Tory, whatever that means, but then Blair was so far from being a "true" Liberal that the party he led to its most successful period in history has all but disowned him.
Question Author
They are both part of the trendy 'Islington' set; basically lefty liberal views for all except themselves. AKA do as I say not as I do.
