Herr Cameron's Scaremongering Exposed ?
29 Answers
So the French seem to think the agreement at Calais will stand after a Brexit and why shouldn't it as it is not an EU agreement?
Cameron seems to be adopting the same scare campaign he adopted to scare the Scottish into staying, but will he get away with it this time?
There is of course more at stake for him this time - his nice cushy number with his big snout in the trough next to the Kinnocks.

To be fair to Dave, Le frogs will change their minds when it suits them but it does give embarrassment for now. There is and element if truth in the original assertion though and some official was on the box last night saying there would be no camp but the asylum swarm would be dispersed among the populace, far worse! In reality, at some point we'd need to develop a system to send them back to France PDQ.
Cameron has seriously put his foot in it.
The facts are there to be seen - the border arrangement is not made through the EU, and will not be affected by Britain staying or leaving.
It is scaremongering, it is the tactics of a politician on the run, and if people were in doubt about voting, the are probably not in doubt now.

There is an assumption that Britain leaving the EU would not have any affect on other bilateral arrangements, That is a very dangerous assumption.
The French plainly would like the migrants at Calais to skedaddle across the channel, but at the moment they can't pack them off UK-wards.
Who is to say what their attitude was if the UK was no longer in the EU.
There is a widespread, mainstream view in France that the problem is at least as much Britain's because, as it is not in the Schengen zone, the migrants are stuck. This is not, in my view, a very logical way of looking at it, but it is what they think. If Britain were still not in the Schengen, and not even an EU partner, then it's not hard to see attitudes hardening.
Having said all that, I hope we'll see some more positive pro-EU messages from the Prime Minister soon. There is something unwholesome about this migrant-mania. The man who nearly split up the UK may soon find himself in charge of the one-party Tory state of England ....

At the end of the day if we are in charge of our country and its borders these people can claim what they like from wherever in the world they like, doesnt mean we have to let them in or grant them anything...get the message to these chancers "dont think about going to the uk, you wont get in"
Military at all ports and points of entry and any caught, shipped straight back to where they last had feet on land...
This claiming asylum joke is being abused by hundreds of thousands if not millions...the vast majority are nothing but chancers and weve been letting them get away with it for decades now and letting them fiddle their way in here..
