Dealing with a Heckler

If The Sun manages to infiltrate a heckler (hopefully!) into the audience for a major speech, how should the speaker/conference handle it ? They will be reluctant to do a Brownshirt act again, but on the other hand it cannot be permitted for a single person in the audience to hijack the speech. I just wonder how it would be handled.

In the past 2 years Blair was interrupted many times by hecklers. He seemed to handle it well. he let them say their piece and then he responded. To be fair on this ocassion, Jack Straw did not even hear the heckle as it was just one word...'nonsense' so had no chance to respond before the burlies got in the way.
