Its often been said by all the Trump lovers here on AB, that Trump has enormous popular support in America.
Well, according to this BBC link, that may not be true after all. These are died-in-the-wool Republicans and they can't stand the sight of Trump !

It was interesting in the BBC link, where one life-long Republican voter said that given the choice between voting for Trump and voting, for the first time, for the Democrats, he would vote Democrat.
And that was the point of me raising this thread......if Trump can pee off lifelong Republican voters, how the hell can he expect to win over floating voters, let alone Democrat voters ?
As a rule, they don't have too many landslide Elections in the States....there have been very few 1979's or 1997's in recent years. So both Parties are looking for those floating voters.

It's all spin, the salient fact here is that the BBC itself which is anti-Donald Trump. Whenever there is a policy shift in a party, some previous voters for that party are bound to 'leave' (there hasn't been a vote yet!) But the change in direction might bring in a much larger amount of new voters.

Doesn't sound very balanced to me !

Perhaps they will give equal air time to both factions...........Just like they do in our political forums.

OK mikey, I watched it again and it is cringe-makingly biased reporting. This reporter has a clear agenda, reporters are there to 'report the facts' which means getting differing opinions and presenting them to their audience.
No decent editor would broadcast such a report if s/he too wasn't also biased.

Racism and bigotry against an enemy such as ISIS is just what middle American republicans (and democrats) want right now. Well....they think they do. The parallels to UKIP and Pegida in this country are very evident. He's telling the disenchanted what they want to hear, with very little idea how to deliver it or what the consequences may be.
