French children have two celebrations, rather like the Queen. One is the 'anniversaire', birthday, and the other is the 'fête', or saint's day. yes I can confirm the saints name rule - and no 3T there isnt a st cyanide nor st nutella ( duuuur )
and one of my age had hell getting Mandy registered ( in Fransh zat eez) altho the registrar eventually accepted there was a St Amanda and they got it on the back of that
