Voting In Eu Referendum

I`m just looking through the government leaflet about the referendum. There is information about registering to vote. Do you have to register if you are already registered for other elections? (I have a postal vote)

Wouldn't have thought so. That would be a bit of a waste of time and money. I imagine that if you're on the register you get a vote - just as in local and general elections.

Thanks for the replies. Yes, I am on the electoral register. The leaflet made it look a bit ambiguous. I guess I`ll receive the voting paper through the post in due course.

Talking of elections, I am now looking through the London Mayoral elections brochure. Among others, we have the BNP, George Galloway, the Cannabis is Safer than Alcohol party, the One Love Party and a Tory who has never done a hard days`s work in his life. Decisions, decisions..

A lot of money could have been saved if the Ref. was held on the same day as the other elections !

If you're not sure, register for the referendum vote anyway. It's quick and easy to do online, and you will at least be certain of getting a voting paper.

I think even if you are on the register of electors you have to ask for a postal vote if you want one before each election,I may be wrong.

Once you ask, you keep getting them for every election without having to ask again. Well I do anyway.
