Trump v. Clinton 2016 almost certain by now... unless of course the "lefty liberal muesli-eating" Republican Party (wait, what?) balks at choosing Trump, which it still can in principle, depending on whether or not he reaches the 1,237 target (currently at 960 with another 600-odd delegates left to be assigned).
Bazile, the Royal & Ancient - which decides where The Open is held every year - stated some months ago that it was unlikely Turnberry (now called Trump Turnberry) would again be chosen as a venue because of the toxic nature of the Trump name. So, far from being “good for the local economy around the area in Scotland where he has his golf course”, it might actually be depriving Scotland of the usual income generated by The Open!

Well, Naomi, if after election...Heaven forfend!...he miraculously ceases to be a boorish oaf and his name becomes becomes 'detoxified', I suppose anything is possible.
I'm just delighted that the wee crofter-man whose home abuts Trump's other golf-course near Aberdeen is still right there, having told him precisely where he could shove his money!

Based on an on-line petition rather than a parliamentary bill, that debate was always a non-starter, Naomi, as regards there being any prospect whatsoever of an entry-ban on Trump being imposed.
On the other hand, I can't see him becoming "acceptable" to most British people, given that extreme right-wingers are rarely given support here for long, as our home-grown Oswald Mosley discovered.
Still, we'll see in due course whether he'll be (a) the Republican candidate...(b) elected President...and (c) finally accepted here.
