What's The Difference Between Right Wingers And Religious Extremists?
I've only just seen a link to this story...and the thing that immediately strikes me is this...the noise generated by extreme right wingers seems almost identical to the noise generated by certain religious factions.

The core belief system that unites them is a planet-sized arrogance that means they think their view is the only view and anyone who doesn't agree is either an idiot to be dismissed, or a threat to be eliminated - the attitudes vary depending on the strength of feeling involved.
The notion of another view, or compromise, are simply laughed at, and the huge levels of ego and self-satisfaction ensures that the individuals concerned can be easily identified as someone a normal person would not spend time with if it can be avoided.

Not sure it is a revellation.
Religious extremists are fascists, so it is not surprising that there are similarities with right wing political extremists.
They both adhere to "Our Way is the Only Way", and anyone who do not agree is met with violence. Both attract bullys and people incapable of empathy.

So did you deliberately write the title different to the question ? ie the word extreme is missing out of the title.
Interesting to see the question come from a left wing rag too.
//he core belief system that unites them is a planet-sized arrogance that means they think their view is the only view and anyone who doesn't agree is either an idiot to be dismissed//
So that pretty much sums up Mickey, and I am pretty sure he would not like being called a right winger!!
So maybe there is the answer to your question?

Sorry - had a massive work emergency yesterday...which meant I couldn't log into AB.
The thing about AB, is at some point - everyone leaves a thread. It runs out of steam.
The only way I can be sure that there are no further questions directed to me is to revisit every single thread I've posted on to check that no further posts have been made.
Do you understand why that might be a little...impractical?
