The Latest Venture Of Captain2's Daughter..
6 Answers
Hi all, its Liv - Captain2's daughter here!
I just wanted to thank everyone for their very kind donations to my recent fundraising. I only found out yesterday that those of you who, very kindly, donated to last years skydive got an email informing you of my latest venture for Mind - the mental health charity.
This year, I am undertaking a 150 hours (6.25 days) Silent Mission where I will remain completely silent for the duration. Coming from a chatterbox myself, this is going to be my biggest challenge yet I think! I did a trial yesterday and lasted 5 minutes before needing to laugh so I think that accurately sums up my nature and just how difficult this will be!
The reason I am doing a 'Silent Mission' is that far too many people in todays society are too afraid to speak out about their mental health. I, as a mental illness survivor, am therefore taking this on board and encouraging people to talk about it and for them to NOT stay silent.
Talking and expressing our thoughts and worries is crucial in recovering from mental illness. Without talking - to both professionals and family/friends - I certainly wouldnt be in the healthy and happy place I am in today.
For anyone who would like to read about my adventure further, or even donate a few pounds to this very worthy charity, here is the link:

Thank you all very much for being so supportive.
