It's a pity Lord Bob and Ronnie are no longer with us, they wouldn't allow this witch hunt.
Nothing to do with religion, Hopkirk. OH was around Cliff a lot in the 60s and he showed no inclination towards kids. Why would he start groping boys in the 80s? Doesn't ring true to me.
Dammit Baths, I missed that one!! lol

I wish the spell checker picked up on "context" as well!

Ratter, //also it opens the gates to other people that may have been assaulted or attacked by this man//

I've just been listening to a discussion on this and although this has been going on for two years there have been no other allegations against him. I agree with janbee. This trial by AB is disgraceful. It seems to me that, as in so many of these cases, some people relish the prospect of seeing the accused found guilty.
Naomi, I don't think there has been a trial by AB. Most of us have defended him because there is no sign of him doing anything wrong. A few people are reserving judgment on what might come out in court - which probably won't happen because there isn't enough evidence to take it to court.
Cloverjo, I'm defending him too - but there are some here who, if they aren't accusing him, might consider choosing their words more carefully.
I would be very surprised if this reaches court.

That will result in the usual media frenzy about an 'innocent man' being 'hounded' but that is not the case.

The police believe they have evidence sufficient to mount a prosecution, and that is not undertaken lightly.

Failure to produce enough evidence is just that - it does not indicate that there was no evidence, or that the case was malicious, but it will be spun that way by the media.

It may well be. We don't know.
Naomi, I think I must have misread your earlier posts.
I agree with you.
Cloverjo, no problem.

Hello.
Lol
naomi said it all at 06:36.
I agree with the comments about the assumption of being guilty without charge or trial....

What, unfortunately, it is fuelled by is his name on that infamous Elm Lodge list photograph. That, in part, is the smoke that the Press have picked up on, the question being is there a fire there to be fanned by the Police and the DPS.
