//If we got rid of left-wing channels there would be no channels to view, //
What? Are you saying they are ALL left wing? Even Sky and Fox?
The trouble is, from your standpoint, perhaps most of the rest of the planet seems left-biased.
Are you able to describe to us, in absolute terms, a scale of leftness and rightness and give us an idea where you stand and where two or three example news channels are?
// but by having a few right-wing channels it would balance the argument up a little at least. //
Not so much a case of balance, merely you avoiding watching the Beeb and a segment of the population not watching this new news channel, in a similar vein.
Not watching each other's content isn't balanced, it's just living in our respective echo chambers, hearing only what we want to hear. To achieve balance, one needs to read all the news from all the outlets. Unfortunately, few of us have the time or energy to wade through all that content.
…and quite a lot of it needs quote marks around the word "content".

That's a bold assertion. Can you give an example? Do you mean favourable treatment of left wing politicians or do you mean active promotion of socialist policies/ethos etc.?
The left accuse them of being too right wing and casually ignoring sizeable protest marches through London (especially ones getting to within sight of Westminster). You have to follow social media to see the lefty stuff which they are, routinely, ignoring.

the BBC's coverage of Europe is overwhelmingly negative, according to an analysis of last year's coverage

I read the OP link and decided one economics editor, who studied "Marxist economics" (is that a genuine Oxbridge course title?) does not a left wing channel make.
Thanks to the Blairites, I don't know what actually demarkates left wing from right, any more. Trade Unionism is a fading power and I never trusted Union leaders who took home executive-level salaries, in the first place.
