Evil people we all agree, but could it be that because of their sexuality, the authorities behaved a certain way over this affair?

Some have to very careful these days, so as not to upset certain sensitivities, the Asian child grooming cases are a typical example.
No, AOG. We have had similar over the last few years involving hetorosexual parents, single parents, white parents, foster parents and every other type of parent you can think of.
AOG > could it be that because of their sexuality, the authorities behaved a certain way over this affair?

Treading more on eggshells? I wonder if the SS approach in such cases is mentioned in the Policies and Procedures? I doubt it.
Another pair we shall have to keep for 30 years.Of course the authorities will have look after their "yuman rights" as well. When will these " its not our fault" social workers be held to account.
But it isn't their fault! They weren't the ones abusing the child.
//
Be more nosey neighbours? What good would that do,SS were aware and did sod all.

Butnever mind there will be a review lessons will be learnt and SS staff will get thousands of tax payers hard earnedfor failing.

These pair of scumbags should be strung up. // There's a fair chance they'll be got at whilst in the nick
I can't but help think that the authorities were more wary than usual of investigating this case because they did not want to be accused of bias against Lesbian parents. I may be wrong but it is my 'gut' feeling
''these pair of scumbags should be strung up''
that's an insult to scumbags.

Whiskery, I've no doubt that they will be attacked in the nick, am wondering if they'll be in isolation for their own protection and then will complain about the violation of their human rights.

Heard on radio in the small hours - whoever was being interviewed - reckoned that they shouldn't be breathing the same air as decent folk and death penalty be brought back for some crimes.
They should be killed. A poor endangered gorilla was killed for doing nothing but being curious, I firmly believe it wouldn't have harmed the child (and I don't care how many of you come on to argue with me, don't give a stuff in fact), BUT we as humans do far worse as this case and many like it, prove, and these two vile monsters will be kept and fed and protected for however long they may serve and I hope it is for a very long time!
Don't all young children in Scotland have some kind of official guardian or is that a new thing coming in soon? A Head friend of ours was so appalled by the bruises on a child that he called social services, SSAFA, and refused to put her on the bus home, a military school in Germany. The child and the rest of the children was immediately taken from the family and the parents were sent back to the UK, his army career in tatters presumably.

Its a new scheme being piloted ( Fife council ) are taking part in the Named Person imitative. It's a bit difficult to find out if Liam actually had a NP appointed .
zebo, I think it's coming in at some point, quite unnecessary imho, and I think it only starts from primary school age.

I also feel for the two wee ones who were tortured by those evil cows, they'll have some issues which I hope can be sorted as best as they possibly can.

Viv, no argument from me. x
Ummm.Regarding Social workers, that was a generalisation but they do seem to have a habit of leaving children in danger to often.
Remember that social workers do not have the power to remove a child from its home. That decision is made by magistrates.
Yes...but abusers also seem to be very good liars.
They are! It is a very difficult decision to make because removing a child can be emotionally damaging if it's the wrong decision.
There was a case quite recently about a child who was very badly abused by the people who had given guardianship of the child after he was removed from the family.
## Ummm.Regarding Social workers, that was a generalisation but they do seem to have a habit of leaving children in danger to often. ##

My daughter is a Health Visitor, and has been to numerous court cases for child abuse etc.
She has also been threatened with bodily harm, and had to have police protection visiting some addresses who are on drugs & alcohol.

The problem she told me, was that a lot of parents who are on the radar for abuse, always try to avoid the welfare workers/health visitors from seeing the child '' don't answer door, baby's asleep, they are at their grandparents etc''

So its not all one-sided!
Precisely....If you've beaten up your child you're hardly likely to answer the door to officials.
