Ufo's

It was about the late eighties, if I remember correctly, in N.Somerset. My mother, who couldn't sleep very well due to arthritis in her knee, got up to take some painkillers and made herself a drink. It was about 3am. She went into the living room and before putting light on noticed bright lights coming from outside her front window. She went over to take a look, so pulled curtains slightly and had the fright of her life. There was a big triangle shaped craft hovering what seemed to be extremely close by and had different coloured lights flashing round the sides. She told a close friend the next day of what she witnessed. The friend said she heard similar story from someone else she knew! My mum learned later there were others who seen same UFO. I never doubted my mother for one minute. She had always been an honest and genuine lady. I've never seen one but have any of you experienced a sighting?

I have never seen anything like that except on The X files although by definition I have seen UFO's unidentified flying objects.

That must have been very scary for her. I have never seen one though.

It was Marval, she couldn't believe her eyes! I've often wondered if people were making these kind of stories up until I heard it from my mum. She's not longer with us unfortunately. She died seven years ago. I miss her so much.

My mum died 7 years ago as well. I still miss her, but have some lovely memories of her and my dad.

I never knew her obviously but don't doubt she was telling the truth... quite honestly think I'd had shat myself.

We have good memories too. Mum was so funny at times with a dry sense of humour. My father is still alive but sadly we don't see each other as he has always been a difficult man to get along with and wasn't very nice to.my mum.

I have seen a UFO, but when I recount it, I get weird looks, so that's all I'm saying on here !

I'm sure that there are flying objects that remain unidentified, but I've not seen one, at least not one I tried to identify. Triangle shaped eh ? I hadn't realised they'd got the stealth aircraft to hover.

I would love to believe in visiting aliens etc. but when I read scientific reports about how long it would take for an alien to reach us I find believing very difficult. There are also some very convincing tales out there as well, some evidence goes back many thousands of years as well I believe.

I know Naomi provided some very interesting and believable links a couple of years ago, I am still not totally convinced yet though.
I think they are out there but not so sure if they have visited us yet.

It's probably earthlings! The technology is much more advanced than we'll ever know....

Ratter is quite correct. I do think people from other planets came here in the dim and distant past and I think there is evidence available to support that if anyone cares to look. However, I’m not convinced they’re visiting us now. That said, long before the advent of drones, my husband and I once saw a very strange object in the sky. It was early afternoon when a silver ball appeared travelling silently just above the rooftops of a four-storey block of flats, so very low. It appeared to have glass at the top, off which the sunlight was glinting. It wasn't enormous - I'd say perhaps 15 or so feet in diameter and I can only compare the mode of its transit to a ball that had been thrown. We ran across the road watching it for as long as it took to disappear behind the adjacent blocks of flats. I have no idea what it was.

When I was about 16 me and a pal were stargazing in my mum & dad's back garden. 2 boat shaped objects (no wings but 2 tail-fins like an F-15) flew slowly over head. They looked to be chrome as they reflected lights on the ground but the strangest thing was they were silent! When we ran round the front of the house they were gone.
