This news isn't new. It's been going on for years!

Immigration is not a bad thing if they are coming here to fill positions they've applied for.

The skilled workers don't sneak into this country, they apply for advertised jobs from their homeland.

Who on earth told you that nonsense, Dave ? For a nation lacking people then there may be an argument. For one with so many people, many can't find jobs, it is bound to be detrimental save in exceptional circumstances. This country needs to encourage folk to fulfil their potential and train to fill the job positions we have going, rather than getting addicted to grabbing skills from elsewhere, overfilling the country further, and leaving folk on welfare for the employed to pay for.

Seriously, these camps are surely unacceptable to councils and should never have been permitted in the first place. They just need closing, full stop. The people will have to move from placetto place and, one hopes, will give up and go back.
