I can't recall what was on the BBC last night, never mind 7 months ago.
I remember it Webbo. Under the radar again for the "social engineers". Of course the DM is racist for reporting it.
I did see this in today's news

Send them back to Syria, they can't be that grateful can they.

They were found not guilty. See link above.

The fact is, rapes are not newsworthy due to how regularly they occur - 15,500 annually. The only reason this one was reported in the Daily Mail is because the accused were migrants. The story appeals to the Daily Mail's, and its readers xenophobia. Unfortunately for you, they were innocent.
Was it reported by ITV or Sky News at the time?

What has this got to do with the BBC?

And why are you asking about something that may or may not have been reported on the Beeb from November last year???
Also, as Gromit has mentioned, why would you send people found not guilty of a crime back to Syria?
Sp,

Brexitters are ramping up their claims that the BBC are biased because they are not sure of winning the referendum. If they do lose, they already have a reason - it will be the BBCs fault.
Ifn the event that Brexiters lose it will be the fault of those afraid of change for the better, and scared by ridiculous stories of devastation during the transition period, choosing the wrong option. Not that, that has more than a weak connection to some rape article fron November.
Gromit

I've never fully understood the claim that the BBC is biased towards the Right or the Left.

I'm reading a book called Pinkos and Traitors at the moment, that pretty much debunks that idea.
//I've never fully understood the claim that the BBC is biased towards the Right or the Left. //

I thought that until I listened to Nick Robinson reporting during the run-up to the last General Election.

But surely that's not evidence in itself?
No? He was the BBC's political editor.
OG at 8:41, well said.

What did Nick say?
In 2010 there were calls to sack Nick Robinson for Anti Labour bias

http://www.theguardian.com/media/greenslade/2010/may/14/nickrobinson-bbc

And in 2014 the SNP accused him of bias.
http://www.thenational.scot/politics/anger-at-bbc-bias-as-meetings-between-david-cameron-and-nick-robinson-meetings-are-revealed.10086

Which probably means he did a good job, if all the parties are accusing him of bias.

We have been here before recently.

It is not the job of the police to be a news service. They sometimes make appeals (which themselves are newsworthy). In the case of the Newcastle case, they already had the suspects and did not need the publics help, so no appeal on their website.

No idea why the story didn't make Newsight, but as mentioned earlier, there are 1000 rapes every week, so the crime in itself is not exceptional. The accusation is that the BBC pulled the story because it showed immigrants in a bad light. Most people can see it was pulled because it wasn't a strong news story.
