I think Dave has more to lose and greater power to have things look like it wasn't discussed.

When we leave we will still have national government to have to deal with but it will be a government accountable to the electorate. It is preposterous to say one should stay with the undemocratic unaccountable morass known as the EU simply because there is always going to be a need to control one's government. There's a recipe for never doing anything.
