Personal Attacks And Abusive Language Will Not Be Tolerated
"We understand that debates get heated, but personal attacks and abusive language will not be tolerated"
Can we all calm down a bit please?
I've been written to several times about how abrasive and aggressive this section has become.
Several have pointed out that the language in particular has become childish and brutish, with name calling and hyperbole being especially annoying.
So let's calm down a bit. Let's stop calling people "traitors to britain" and "friends of jihad" or similarly rude things.
If you can't make your opinion felt without resorting to these personal attacks, then you'll likely be met with suspension, or banning.
All the best,
Ed

This Referendum issue is sort of like a math/maths class: It has created quite a division amongst you, and the gap is multiplying daily with the addition of acrimonious remarks which is really subtracting from the quality of the site.

Then perhaps you could give your logical reasoning as to why that comment was removed. I wasn't going to mention it originally but seeing as it was noticed and commented on then I thought I would back Naomi on what she said earlier. Nothing wrong in that. You are always leaping to the assistance of a certain ABer. So lets leave it then if you or others cannot explain what crime I committed.

I think that there has been a growing impatience from the Editorial team with threads containing obscure (i.e. made up by the poster) Rhyming Slang. The poster responsible has done it specifically to annoy/irritate the other forum users....which is a definition of 'Trolling'; and all responsible and professional forums look badly on trolling.
Of course you care how this site goes.....you wouldn't complain quite so much if you didn't!

The slang did remain with the rest of the OP. It now appears the entire OP has suddenly been pulled to save embarrassment.
I will not pursue this any further and as stated earlier I said nothing at the time it happened but remained baffled still. I only reiterated what Naomi mentioned earlier to confirm the truth in her post.
Let the site move on wherever it is going.

JTH,
You could well be right. When the subject of Rhyming Slang (RS) came up very early in this thread, Tora instantly penned a question in RS which was removed on the ABEds watch, presumably for trolling.
// If you cannot get of your plaster to canal personally then you don't care enough to have democracy. //
It is a good point ruined by the stupid language. He is obviously doing it to annoy people. The best thing to do in future is to ignore it. By complaining about it, or translating it, you are actually encouraging him to keep doing it.

Right any more petty fogging Site Rules we can make up on the spot when it suits. Just for clarification because I need that site rule interpreted. I have read Site Rules enough and have never seen a translation being grounds for removal!! End Of.

Clearly the Ab Editor is fed up with folk being a complete Lord and has had enough.

Crikey this becomes more farcical. Aiding and abetting is the latest discovery on Site Rules. We will have awarding a best answer translated as aiding and abetting. After all that is a tacit approval for another's post yet some others may disagree. If it wasn't so sad it should be in the joke section.
