- presumably because the journalist asked her about it.

Apparently it was her decision to bring this out as she didn’t want any innuendo during her campaign. Personally I look forward to the day when women don’t have to address these darn stupid questions about wearing the same dress more than once and why they have or have not married or had children. I do however don’t think it is not just a man thing women can sometimes be more exacting on other women

I agree that there's nothing wrong with being open about the subject, however - we really should be past the stage where women feel the need to explain why they don't have kids, either through circumstance or choice.
Perhaps, as bednobs has suggested, it 'warms' her public persona, but strength, leadership and political savvy ought to be the defining attributes of a prospective PM. Everything else is 'gravy'.

Not just successful women....any women. personally I don’t care much about the personal lives of politicians or dentists or plumbers or anyone I am not personally close to. They should stay well within the law, work hard, be good at the job, and not use their job for their own gain to the loss of others, but apart from that, if they don’t have views on my personal life then i won’t have views on theirs.

She will not be invoking Article 50 this year baz, which is one if the reasons I don't want her as PM. // That's all very well to quote JB, but we need to negotiate a deal for the UK before we finally leave, we do not want to cut off our nose to spite our face we want a deal with the EU which gets us back to using the Common Market without the politcs so we have our own elected government in Whitehall & our own border control so who do we have on the Brexit side ? For goodness sake not stab in the back Gove.
