Deputy PM is not a post normally used it was bought out of mothballs when the LibDems were in coalition to make Nick Clegg sound useful.

No, but the May supporters are now doing to Leadsom what Gove did to Boris. With Gove as no. 2 they are fairly confident. Should it be Leadsom they are bricking it.

There have been a few deputy PMs as a consolation prize. Butler, Whitelaw, Howe, Heseltine and Prescott spring to mind.

It's a bit ignoble of me but I'd hope to see Gove get destroyed and come in a (distant) third. Whatever Leadsom's chances, she is at least somewhat fresh and that probably captures the spirit of the June 23rd result better than Gove, or even Theresa May, as PM would.
