Good speech from Theresa. I do hope she is able to fulfil her ideals, and wish her every success.

I agree, hw.
Good speech but surprised she didn't mention immigration whatsoever.
Sounded good , but I wonder what the reality will be .
I've never liked the Tories, voted Labour for decades and voted UKIP in the last two elections and also voted brexit, but i have to say I was impressed with her first speech, 20 minutes in the job and sounded sincere. I do hope that she sticks to her word and listens to the 'people', not the whips!!

///sounded sincere.///

Didn't hear the speech, but she is a politician fgs.
I am not of that Party but I do hope that her policy's will get people to RE-Trust the Tories, every person needs a chance, I'm glad the smart rse G.O. Is going, smug sod.
Jojo Foreign Secretary, she will regret that, sooner or later.
Does make one wonder if a deal was done a fortnight ago.
Nige tweeted that he was too.
I think it's turned out better than it might, so far, but time will still tell.
It's just a speech, means nothing to politicians! Not a fan.
Glad she's kept Boris inside the tent - he might be very good as Foreign Sec. (I had him down for that, t.b.h.) because he is known outside the UK and will be guided.

I'm rather more than unhappy at Hammond being appointed Chancellor. Osborne, for all his many faults, is a reassuring presence for foreign markets at this point and Hammond is far to committed a 'Remainer' for me to be easy - he will drag his heels and moan and nit-pick about tiny economic details and try to put-off ever activating Article 50. Brexiteers must remain on their toes! He will try to get out of it.
Always suspected that Theresa and Boris had hatched a plan. Feeling smug to have been proved right. Personally am pleased and think David Davies is the right person for Brexit. Am feeling optimistic now for our future. Have never voted Tory, but am leaning that way now. There are no other credible alternatives!!
Oh, and thrilled to see the back of Osbourne!
what ? out of all this crip the older generation ( and 3T alone ) has got us into , there comes a relatively safe pair of hands ?

sounded sincere

well - sincerity, once you have learnt to fake that, you have it made as an actor .....
No or Yes
I really think lovely overweight tousle-haired Boris woke up one day and found he was gonna be Prime minister,
and he tousled his hair, cracked a few jokes in Latin whilst swigging the remains of a bottle of bollie
and realised ( cued perhaps by Gove ) that he wasnt up to it
I'm reminded of Thatcher hanging out of a window in Smith Square after one of her election victories and shouting about the problems of the inner cities.
With Boris at the FO and Davis as Brexit minister I am confident that she will stick to her word.
I remember Thatcher giving her
out of hopelessness we will find hope..... speech

which sky news said was based apparently on a prayer by St Francis of Assisi - and I though god what poncey reporters we get nowadays ....

[ he may have meant - based on a prayer apparently by St F - or St Giles of Assisi or old mother hubbard down the road or ... ]
♫ It's only words.......♫
She talked the talk, Now she must walk the walk. I think she will.
..and words are all I have...
