France, well noted actually for its lack of "multi-culturalism" in fact (if by "multi-culturalism" one means identifying that a nation has more than one official culture, although it seems often to be used as a term of abuse deprecating the toleration of anyone of a different culture) , has had N Africans living in it for decades.

Of course France has hundreds of mosques. A lot of Moslems live there (tho the percentage of practising Moslems us small) But there has not been the same attempt to embrace the cultures of non white Non Christian peoples that we have seen in eg the UK. Indeed, the French govt has largely followed the path, as jno implies, that many would like to see here, and one can see what France is today, because or in spite of that
