We are discussing a court case in Dunkirk, which is a place in France.
These men were trying to leave France, and the man helping them was sent to prison for 10 months, which you thought lenient.

So those facts, and your following comments do not seem to match.

The 10 months in prison seems to be very harsh for something you have said should have instead got a reward, if it had happened in this country.
